Let me show you this beautiful city and let you leave Bergen refreshed and recharged for your way further on!
Hi !
Would you like to discover Bergen without checking directions and sites on your mobile while on the go? This is what I can save you from and share my sympathy for this town.
I write in English, but one of the AI solutions helps you easily with translation to French or German (or other). Just please mind that je ne m'appelle pas "Rediger"/ich heisse nicht "Bearbeiten" 😅. Thank you.
Here comes a bit of introduction about me, or else just simply have a look at the tours I offer and step in touch if you wonder about anything, or would like to customize a tour to your needs/interest.
My story of becoming a tour guide
I wish I'd become a guide 16 years ago when I moved to this city, from Budapest, Hungary .
I have baked instead, as a professional baker, partially because I am committed to better health.
While baking I got two buns in my stomach too - as Norwegians say: two kids, who were born here and are growing up here.
In a spring evening on my way down from Mount Fløyen after a "dugnad" (volunteer commitment for a good and community purpose) I fell in love with this city.
In a time slot between 7 and 5 night shifts in a row in the bakery I completed the guide exam of Norsk Guideforbund and got my certificate handed over by the Mayor of Bergen on 11th September 2025.
Since then I have shown the highlights of Bergen to Austrian, German and Swiss tourists in German, and to local Hungarians in Hungarian via the local volunteer immigrant association I am a cofounder of.
My current goals and way I guide
In the years to come I'd like to build up my guiding vocabulary also in French and English in order to become an authorized Bergen guide in several languages. This is a process, since my focus in Bergen so far has been on proficency in Norwegian and refreshing my former education received in Hungary and France.
I wish to be a part of sustainable tourism in Bergen and Norway and contribute to better working conditions in the industry. .
I can be your guide to walk with, or one who shows this city and its surroundings on bicycle, or any other means of transportation with a driver (except for motorbike).
I have some long trips behind me like Camino de Santiago in Spain, hikes up to 100 kilometers in a day in Hungary, professional trips to countries in 3 continents with previous jobs in theater, garment design and production. I lived in France and Spain for study and study practice. So I have a global footprint to turn to good while I mostly use bicycle or simply my feet for daily transport.
I am a freelance guide with other sources of living.
I charge an hourly fee for my tours and I am glad to tailor it ahead of your arrival according to your needs, wishes, and location. Even if you plan to discover Bergen on your own, I am happy to provide practical information to make it as enjoyable as possible.
See you / hear you soon!
