About this experience

Explore Bygdøy’s world-class museums on a relaxed, family-friendly tour with scenic Ferry Ride

We’ll begin our journey at the ferry pier in central Oslo, where we hop on the scenic Bygdøy ferry for a short and beautiful ride across the fjord. This is not just transport—it’s part of the experience, offering great views of the Oslo waterfront and surrounding islands.

Once we arrive at Bygdøy, we start right by the pier with either the Fram Museum or the Kon-Tiki Museum, depending on your preference.

At the Fram Museum, we dive into Norway’s proud polar exploration history and even step aboard the world’s strongest wooden ship.

At the nearby Kon-Tiki Museum, you’ll discover Thor Heyerdahl’s legendary expeditions and see the original raft that crossed the Pacific Ocean.

We then continue with a pleasant walk to the Norwegian Folk Museum, where you’ll explore Norway’s cultural heritage through a combination of indoor exhibitions and an impressive open-air museum

The pace is flexible throughout the tour—if you’d like to spend more or less time at any stop, just let your guide know.

It's recommended all guests buy the Oslo Pass at the pier for this tour as it gives entry to the ferry and all the museums.
