Explore Norway’s maritime heritage through the journeys of famous explorers.
Norway boasts the world's second longest coastline, making maritime exploration an essential part of its national identity.
This tour takes you on a historical journey through Norway’s seafaring heritage, from the construction of powerful Viking ships to the daring polar expeditions of Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen, and the adventurous ocean crossings of Thor Heyerdahl on traditional rafts.
We begin the tour with a scenic ferry ride to the Bygdøy peninsula, where we will visit the Fram Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, and the Norwegian Maritime Museum. Along the way, you will discover how the sea has shaped Norway’s history, culture, and identity.
