Every city has its secrets, and Oslo is no exception. This tour takes you to the walls of Oslo’s historic prisons and into hidden stories from the city’s past.
We’ll walk through the shadowy side of Oslo’s history, from the imposing walls of Oslo Prison (The Philadelphia System Building), to the preserved cellblock at Grønland Police Station, the remnants of the Christiania Penitentiary from the 1800s, and Møllergata 19. Along the way, you’ll hear about the evolution of crime, justice, and punishment in the city—featuring chilling true tales as well as powerful stories of survival. This three-hour walking tour is for those who want to step into Norway’s history, if you dare.
