About this experience

Explore the rich history of Thessaloniki, my birthplace, and see for yourself why it is home to numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This walking tour is a journey through time, from the Roman and Byzantine eras to the charming Old Town. Our tour begins at the mighty Citadel on the hilltop, walking along the ancient city walls. We'll explore some of the oldest Byzantine churches in the city, many still preserving stunning mosaics and frescoes dating back to the 5th century. We will then descend into the city center to visit the magnificent Roman Complex of Galerius, including the unique Rotonda, and the sprawling Roman Forum excavation.
