Explore the craftsmanship of Vigeland Sculpture Park, the world’s largest sculpture park designed by a single artist.
Explore Oslo’s famous Vigeland Sculpture Park on an art-focused walking tour featuring more than 200 sculptures in wrought iron, granite, and bronze, all created by Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.
During the tour, I will share the background history of the park, the life and work of Vigeland, and the meaning behind the sculptures. You will discover how the artworks represent different stages of human life, emotions, relationships, and the universal human experience.
The tour can also include a museum visit to Vigeland’s former studio and apartment, where he spent the last 19 years of his life.
Please note that the tour includes walking 850 meters / 0.5 miles and up & down around 100 steps, so good mobility is recommended. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
