How does the Job Board work? - For Guides

The Job Board is where travel companies, hotels, and other professional partners post available guiding jobs – and it’s built to make things easy for you as a guide.

Here’s how it works step-by-step 👇

🧭 1. What is the Job Board?

The Job Board is a space where partners can post one-time or recurring guiding assignments in cities they operate in. As a guide, you’ll only see jobs in locations you’ve listed on your profile.

These are real jobs — not ads or open-ended listings — and if you’re approved, the booking is confirmed.

📝 2. How to Apply

1. Go to your dashboard and click on Job Board

2. Browse through the available jobs listed in your cities

3. Click on a job to see full details (meeting point, date/time, pay, requirements)

4. If it’s a good fit, click Apply

📌 That’s it. The partner will review your profile, and if they approve you, the job will automatically be confirmed. You’ll get a confirmation by email.

When clicking "View Details" you will see detailed information on the job and the "Apply Now"-Button will appear.

When clicked, you get an option to write a Job Application Note. Here you can specify any special skills you would like to highlight or any motivation for the job if you like. This will be visible to the Partner who published the job.

🔔 3. Set Your Notifications

You don’t need to check the Job Board every day. Instead, set up your Notification Preferences and we’ll send you an email whenever something new is posted in a location you guide in.

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Click on Job Board

2. Locate the Communication Preferences on the right

3. Choose how often you want to get alerts (instantly, daily summary, weekly, etc.)

🤝 4. What Happens After You’re Approved?

Once approved:

• The job is added to your calendar

• The job will be added under "Business in your dashboard menu. Both as "approved" under "Job Board" -"Applications" and under "bookings"-"Upcoming".

• You’ll receive all relevant guest and tour details

• If something changes (like cancellations), we’ll notify you by email
