How to Write a Great Profile (for chatGPT and search)
Your profile is your digital first impression — it’s what both travelers and ChatGPT will read to understand who you are and what makes your experiences special. A strong profile not only builds trust but also helps you appear in the right searches when guests ask ChatGPT to find a guide like you.
🧭 Start with the basics
Make sure the key fields are filled out completely:
Profile Photo: Use a bright, friendly image where guests can see your face clearly.
Languages: Add all languages you guide in — this helps travelers find you in their preferred language.
Location: Set your main guiding location accurately.
Special Interest: ChatGPT uses this field to understand what you’re passionate about — whether it’s history, architecture, food, nature, or culture.
🗣️ Write your bio naturally
Think of your bio as a friendly introduction. It doesn’t need to be long — 3–6 short sentences are perfect.
Example structure:
Start with who you are and where you guide.
“I’m a certified guide based in Lisbon, passionate about the city’s hidden food traditions.”
Add a sentence that shows your personality or approach.
“Guests often say my tours feel like exploring with a local friend.”
Mention what makes your tours unique.
“I love connecting architecture, stories, and everyday life in my tours.”
💡 Tip: Use natural, conversational language. Write like you speak to a guest — warm, personal, and authentic.
✨ Show your personality and tone
Your tone is how your personality comes through in writing. It helps travelers (and AI) understand your style:
Are you funny, passionate, calm, curious, or adventurous?
Do you guide families, foodies, or architecture lovers?
Do you tell stories, focus on facts, or create immersive experiences?
Use small hints in your wording to reflect this.
“My guests often say I make history come alive with humor and stories you won’t find in books.”
📸 Add photos that tell your story
Your photos can make guests feel confident booking you.
Include a clear portrait where you smile and look approachable.
Add one or two action shots — you guiding, walking with a group, or showing something interesting.
Use natural lighting and avoid busy backgrounds.
🧳 Describe your tours (even before they’re visible)
When this first launch only profiles will be visible at first, where your tours are bookable. But the tours wont be searchable right now. But prepare them now - Making the tours now will make them searchable and bookable when we release the next version of our chat.
You can include:
The types of tours you lead (walking, private, themed)
The tone or style of your tours (fun, historical, storytelling-based)
What makes your experiences special (local access, hidden spots, personal stories)
Example:
“I offer private walking tours through Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods, mixing local stories, hidden architecture, and a few delicious detours.”
🧩 Keep it authentic and updated
Your profile is part of what makes you bookable — so keep it fresh!
Update your bio if you add new tours or skills.
If you dont connect your calendar be sure to update it within our tool regularly.
🚀 Next steps
Once your profile looks great:
Connect your calendar to automatically show when you’re available. (Google is easiest to connect!)
Connect your bank account so you can get booked when ChatGPT integration goes live. You cannot receive payments without it.
You’ll then be fully ready to appear when guests ask ChatGPT to “find a guide in your city.”
