Send a booking request using guides' prices
Use Book a Guide to find guides and send a request based on the prices they have listed in their profiles. You can send a request to several guides, even if their prices differ.
Steps
Open Book a Guide in the partner portal.
Select the location, date, language, start time and duration. The languages and durations available in the search are based on what guides have listed in their profiles.
Click Search to find available guides.
Review the results. Each price is shown for your selected duration. Select the guides you want to send the request to.
If useful, review alternatives with different times or dates. Check the time for each guide you select: a single batch of requests can include different times for different recipients.
Click Review request.
Choose a selection model. With First Come, First Served, the first guide to accept gets the job. With Apply & Select, you review applications and choose the guide yourself. (Read about the models type: entry-hyperlink id: doc-pp-03)
Enter a booking reference, the number of guests and the meeting point. You can use a reference number or a recognisable name. The reference also appears in the email the guide receives.
Check the meeting point's map pin. Move it if needed and add specific directions, such as “on the north side of the fountain”.
Add any information the guide needs about the tour or guests. Use the internal notes field for information that only your team should see.
Optionally, add the name and mobile number of a traveller who can be contacted during the tour.
Choose card or invoice payment. Check the recipients, times, price summary and cancellation terms before sending the request.
What happens next?
Your request appears under Your Bookings → Pending. Open it to see each recipient's status. Your next steps depend on the selection model you chose.
Guides marked Invoice only can only be paid by invoice. If the guides have different prices, the review screen shows an estimated subtotal. Check each guide's price, especially when using First Come, First Served.
