Send a booking request with your own price
Use Create a Request when you want to set the amount you offer for a job. Every guide you select receives the request at that price.
Steps
Open Create a Request in the partner portal.
Select the location, date, language, start time and duration. Here, you are not limited to the durations guides have listed for sale in their profiles.
Click Search. The search finds guides based on their calendar availability.
Select the guides you want to send the request to, then click Review request.
Choose First Come, First Served or Apply & Select, depending on whether you want the first guide to accept to get the job or prefer to choose from the applicants yourself. (See this document on the application models)
Enter a booking reference (Can be a name, a number, a tour description, anything) and the number of guests.
In the price field next to the number of guests, enter the amount you are offering the guide for the whole job.
Enter the meeting point, check the map pin and add any specific meeting instructions.
Add information for the guide, any internal notes and optional traveller contact details. Internal notes are not visible to the guide.
Choose a payment method. Check the price, recipients, booking details and cancellation terms before sending the request.
What happens next?
The guides receive the request with the amount you have offered. They are notified by email and also through WhatsApp if they have verified their WhatsApp number. You can track the request under Your Bookings. (Found here).
How this differs from Book a Guide: With Create a Request, you set the price. With Book a Guide, you use the prices guides have listed themselves. Choosing whose prices to use and choosing a selection model are two separate decisions.
Link to Create a Request is in the Partner Portal here.
